BCEE is to replace its proprietary customer securities application with GEOS, an international standard product which, alongside Austria and Germany, is already being used with considerable success in Ireland, Romania and Switzerland. Primarily, the software has to be able to generate, receive and process a set of SWIFT messages and be connected to the worldwide SWIFT network.
